Walter Bell is sentenced for the 2009 murder of San Ramon Valley student Rylan Fuchs.

Walter Bell remained silent Friday as the judge sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the 2009 murder of Danville teen Rylan Fuchs.

Bell reportedly shot the 17-year-old San Ramon Valley High student during a pot deal near Fuchs' Danville family home, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Bell arranged to meet Fuchs to buy marijuana. Fuchs reportedly went out to meet Bell after dinner, but was shot in the neck after the deal went wrong.

Bell was convicted of first-degree murder and given a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
