Danville Police Looking for Chase Bank Robber

The robber stole an estimated $20,000 and fled on foot from the bank on San Ramon Ramon Valley Boulevard Monday morning.

Danville Police are looking for a man in his 20s who robbed on San Ramon Valley Boulevard Monday morning.

The man, "described as African American or Middle Eastern, wearing a white turban," approached a teller at the bank and demanded money at 10:15 a.m., said Danville Police Lt. Jeff Moule.

No weapon was seen and no one was injured during the robbery, he said.

The robber got away with about $20,000 and fled the bank on foot, police said.

Witnesses told police they saw a person matching the suspect’s description running north from the bank.

The FBI is helping with the investigation and a suspect has been tentatively identified. Police say the man may have committed several other bank robberies in the Bay Area since February.
