Danville Police Help Cab Passenger Get Home Safe and Sound

Marian Zaouk, a San Francisco Yellow Cab dispatcher, sends out a big thank you to the Danville PD.

Protect, serve, and, when the situation calls for it, drop off -- that's the Danville Police Department.

Earlier this week a dispatcher for the San Francisco Yellow Cab company, Marian Zaouk, sent us an email praising the helpfulness of the Danville PD.

Here's the story:

Just a heartfelt thank you to the Danville police! I am a graveyard shift dispatcher at San Francisco Yellow Cab. This past Sunday night in the wee hours, one of our cabs broke down in Danville, with his passenger still on board. He was blocking an intersection, and the passenger still needed to get home. Police were called, as was a local cab company, for the passenger. The cab company (apparently) had only one cab on the road, and it was engaged elsewhere. Not to worry! The police pushed the cab out of harm's way, and gave the passenger a ride home. I thanked the Officer on the phone, but didn't get his name. So, thanks again!
