Police: Citizen's Report of 'Suspicious Vehicle' Leads to Arrest of 4 in Danville

Four Pittsburg residents were arrested on numerous charges.

Following a call to Danville Police Department from an alert resident, police arrested four Pittsburg residents on a variety of charges.

Lieutenant Allan Shields said at 4:56 p.m. on June 3, 2014, an officer was dispatched to Macomber Road on a call of a suspicious vehicle. A citizen reported that the vehicle appeared to be “casing” the area and was able to provide a complete license plate.

On arrival in the neighborhood, the officer spotted a dark colored Oldsmobile Aurora with a matching license plate. A traffic stop was conducted and it was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle on a suspended license.
