Danville Couple Involved in Collision that Killed A Hayward Man Saturday

On Saturday, a 68-year-old Hayward man was killed in a collision in Castro Valley that involved two Danville residents.

A 68-year-old Hayward man was killed in a head-on collision in Alameda County on Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers were dispatched to a reported crash on Crow Canyon Road south of Norris Road in Castro Valley at about 7:45 a.m., according to the
CHP.

A man driving a 2008 Subaru and a Danville couple in a 2003 Acura were negotiating a sharp turn in the roadway, when one of the vehicles crossed a double-yellow into oncoming traffic.

The two vehicles collided.

Hanno Lind, the driver of the Subaru, was taken to Eden Medical Center, where he died at 2:55 p.m., according to the CHP.

The driver of the Acura was also taken to Eden Medical Center with major injuries. The passenger of the Acura suffered minor injuries.

The Mercury News reported the names of the couple:

Acura driver Mohsen Fahim, 50, of Danville, sustained major injuries and his wife Patty Fahim, 51, had minor injuries.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
