Danville Costco Rammed With Truck, ATM Stolen

Danville Police are looking for suspects in connection with a Sunday morning burglary at Costco.

Danville Police detectives are looking for the people who used a truck to smash a door Sunday morning, stealing the store's ATM machine.

Police Chief Steve Simpkins said at 2:52 a.m. Sunday, it is believed that two people used a stolen truck to ram the main entrance roll-up door at Costco on Fostoria Way. Police said they then used the truck to lift an ATM machine in the store from its foundation.

The machine, which held an undisclosed amount of money, was then stolen. The truck, which police discovered was stolen from an East Bay Municipal Utilities District yard in San Ramon, was left in the store.
