Car Hits Toddler in Bike Carrier in Alamo

The 2-year-old girl was taken to Children's Hospital in Oakland after a car hit the bike carrier her dad was towing.

A vehicle hit a 2-year-old girl in a carrier towed by her dad's bike Saturday in Alamo, an officer for the California Highway Patrol said.

At around 2:20 p.m., the toddler's father was biking along Danville Boulevard, when a vehicle traveling on Camille Avenue struck the bicycle carrier, CHP officer A. Paulson said.

The girl, who was wearing safety equipment, was transported to Oakland Children's Hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
