Armed Robbery at Rose Garden Subway, Police Seeking Suspect
The suspect was last seen Thursday headed south from the Rose Garden Shopping Center on a bicycle along the Iron Horse Trail
Danville and San Ramon police are looking for a suspect connected to an armed robbery at the Subway in the Rose Garden Shopping Center on Thursday.
A male suspected went into the Subway at about 5:20 p.m., ordered food and then brandished a handgun from his backpack and demanded cash from the register.
The employees obeyed, giving him an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect left the store, riding a bicycle south on the Iron Horse Trail, according to Danville police.
Officers from Danville and San Ramon tried to locate the suspect, but couldn't find him. Officers believe the suspect was also involved in an attempted robbery in San Ramon earlier on Thursday.
The suspect is described as white or Hispanic, in his early 20s, 5-foot-5, 130 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt, plaid shorts and a black hat.
