BART UPDATE: Oakland Coliseum Station Re-Opens…

All Lanes Open on Interstate 680 After Fatal Crash

The single-vehicle accident resulted in one fatality, as an occupant was ejected from the vehicle.

A crash in Pleasanton killed one person neperson Sunday morning and left some lanes of Interstate 680 closed for nearly three hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at about 7:45 a.m. on northbound Interstate 680 near the Sunol Boulevard off-ramp, CHP Officer James Evans said.

A single vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into a ditch, Evans said. One of the occupants of the vehicle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Closing ONE lane for this was probably more than enough, most other states would not go to such lengths to ":investigate" the obvious. Come on, wise up, California!

timothy: What expertise do you have in your background that allows you to make this deduction? I would like to know what specific reason you have for stating that one lane should have been closed, but no more. What type of evidence do you have? I'm curious.

I certainly concur with Andy & Peggy. You would have criticized had they had not closed any lanes. You would be better off saying nothing.
