$8,000 in Stolen CVS Items Found at Danville Home

Danville Police arrested two people last week in connection with the recovery of 15 CVS bins filled with $8,000 in cosmetics and other unopened CVS products.

Danville Police are working with CVS pharmacy, to figure out where $8,000 of the store's products were stolen from before ending up at a home in Danville last week.

Police arrested two people after they found 15 full CVS totes (red bins used to deliver new products to stores) in a house on Robyn Drive last Friday, said Sgt. Alan Shields.

Shields said police received a call that there were squatters at a house on the 1200 block of Robyn Court. At the house, police found 35 of the red CVS bins, 15 of them filled with about 2,000 pieces of merchandise including shampoo, cosmetics, and food.

He said the two people staying at the house, Mark Dantch, 42, and Colleen McCollum, 58, did not appear to be trespassing at the house. Both were arrested last Friday and charged with possession of stolen property.

Dantch, who also had an outstanding warrant, has since posted $20,000 bail. McCollum is still in jail.

Shields said it is not clear which CVS stores the products came from but police are working with CVS to return the items to the stores. He said tracking numbers on the boxes identified many different stories including Alamo and as far as Monterey.
