A San Ramon jewelry store employee is asking for the public’s help in finding jewelry she lost last month while in Alamo, and she's willing to pay handsomely for that help. Crowder is offering $10,000 for the return of her jewelry.

Julie Crowder, who works at Heller Jewelers in San Ramon, had attended a jewelry show in Las Vegas in late May before returning home to care for her 16-year-old who had dental emergency.

Leaving work on June 1, Crowder took off her wedding rings and put them in an envelope in her purse with other jewelry from the show before picking up medication for her son. From what she can piece together, she thinks she left her purse on her car at the Rite Aid in Alamo Plaza, located at 130 Alamo Plaza, and drove off, with her purse and rings falling behind.

After a month of dumpster-diving, posting flyers, police reports and calling people, her purse was found hanging in a tree near a cemetery in Danville. The envelope was gone.

“I hope someone’s sitting on it and deciding what to do. I hope they take the reward,” Crowder said. “I don’t want someone afraid they’re going to get in trouble. I just want it returned.”

Her wedding bands included a triple-row eternity diamond and a yellow-stone band.

If you have information about the jewelry, Crowder asks that you call 925-250-2487.

Contra Costa Sheriff's Office has not yet been reached for comment.
