$10,000 in Jewelry and Clothes Stolen from Danville Home

Police arrested four people this week in connection with a robbery of a home on Rubicon Court.

Danville police arrested four people this week, after $10,000 in jewelry, clothing and other items were reported stolen from a house on Rubicon Court.

Police were called to the home on Sept. 2, when a woman found her house had been ransacked, said Lt. Jeff Moule.

She suspected a relative may have been involved in the burglary.

Police interviews with neighbors found a description of the suspect did indeed match that of the relative. 

Later on Sept. 2, a police traffic stop turned up the suspect, Danielle Bonnington of Danville, and a car filled with most of the stolen jewelry, a loaded firearm and methamphetamine.

Bonnington and three other people in the car, two of them wearing the stolen jewelry, were arrested.  

Bonnington was charged with residential burglary and possession of stolen property.

Danielle Gonzales, 31, of Livermore and Oakland, was charged with possession of stolen property and methamphetamine for sale.

Jason Lord, 30, of Oakland was charged with a parole violation and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Helen Wellman, 45, of Oakland was charged with possession of a concealed and loaded firearm.

Bonnington was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility, Gonzales, Lord and Wellman were booked in Santa Rita Jail.

Further charges may be filed, after a search of a home where Gonzales, Lord and Bonnington were living, police said.
