Wardrobe of Opportunity Clothing Drive

We recently wrapped up a clothing drive for Wardrobe for Opportunity. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a success! We delivered the largest donation they had ever seen!

We recently wrapped up a clothing drive for Wardrobe for Opportunity. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a success! We delivered the largest donation they had ever seen!

I wanted to thank Chairs for Affairs and A Grand Affair who graciously donated the racks so we could collect the clothes. Thank you to Blackhawk Dental Care, Danville Area Chamber of Commerce, Club Sport of San Ramon, and Empire Realty Associates for sharing their locations and being drop-off/collection points for donations. Also, a thank you to U-haul of San Ramon for donating the truck for delivery. We didn't anticipate our logistics issue until we realized just how much had been donated! Without a truck, we had no way to get all of these clothes to Oakland!

Also, I wanted to mention the Danville/Sycamore Valley Rotary - particularly Jack Worthington - Diablo Carpet Restoration, Kristin Stansbury - City National Bank, Bob Fuenzalida, Dr. Jeff Jarvis, Brett Pronin - Success Factors, Mike Sherrill - Onyx Pharmacueticals...and all of the Rotarians who spread the word to gather all of the donation of clothes.

And lastly, but certainly not least - a big THANK YOU to our entire community who cleaned their closets, cleaned their clothes, and made such generous donations!   This was a wonderful example of how great it is to be a part of this Valley!!!
