KIDS’ COUNTRY SELECTS STACY LITTERAL AS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kids’ Country: A Best Places To Work in the Bay Area for 2014


Danville, CA (May 19, 2014) --  Kids’ Country is pleased to announce the selection of Stacy Litteral as Executive Director effective July 1, 2014.  Stacy is a product of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District as an Honors Graduate of Cal High School.  She earned her Bachelors degree from St. Mary’s College majoring in business and her MBA from St. Mary’s College as well.  She is a graduate of Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business’ Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders.  Ms. Litteral has been with Kids’ Country since 2008 first serving as Human Resources Director and the past two years as Associate Executive Director.  She replaces Chris Erbe who retired after six years as Executive Director.  Ms. Litteral resides in San Ramon, California and maintains strong ties within the community she will serve as a member of the San Ramon Rotary Club and officer of the Twin Creeks PTA.

Under the joint leadership of Mr. Erbe and Ms. Litteral Kids’ Country has grown into a nationally recognized out-of-school time program providing childcare services to 1600 children in the San Ramon Valley.  It was recently recognized as a Best Places To Work in the Bay Area.  Kids’ Country is the only out-of-school time program in the country in which every site has completed or is in the process of completing national accreditation by the Council On Accreditation.  Kids’ Country is currently engaged in an $8,000,000 capital campaign to construct a Center for the Arts & Sciences in Danville that will provide instruction in the visual arts, music, theater, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).  The Center will house a 250 seat performing arts theater that will also be host to community-based performance groups.  The Center for the Arts & Sciences will be located in an uncompleted performing arts complex at 500 La Gonda.  Completion of the Center is expected in 2016.
