Memorial Service to be Held for Richard Gliozzi

A Danville resident for 30 years, Gliozzi volunteered as a golf coach at San Ramon Valley High.


Richard T. Gliozzi, owner of Gliozzi Construction, died peacefully at his home in Danville on Thursday, Dec. 26 after battling cancer for eight years.

He is survived by his beloved wife Debra of 28 years, daughters Jessica and Jacqueline, his son Richard-Thomas, his sister Diane Dunn and his mother Anna Gliozzi, as well as many loved ones and friends.

Richard was a loving husband, amazing father and caring friend. In addition to his family, sports were his passion. He was an avid skier, golfer and cyclist. Spending time skiing with his family and friends was his favorite pastime. He was a role model for how to live life to the fullest. Richard volunteered as a little league coach, an Assistant Scoutmaster with Danville Boy Scout Troop 803, Assistant Golf Coach for the San Ramon Valley High School Women’s Golf Team and 
an usher at St. Isidore Church.

He will be greatly missed by his many friends and especially by his family who loved him so very much. 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4th at 1 p.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Danville.
