A Danville man was killed when his home-built plane crashed near the Calaveras County Airport on Friday, according to a report in the Contra Costa Times.
The man killed, Dr. Russell Hackler, 68, worked at Grove Way Veterinary Hospital in Castro Valley.
Hackler's family has been notified.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Hackler was flying alone when the crash occurred.
