Clients Remember Danville Veterinarian Killed in Plane Crash

Dr. Russell Hackler, 68, was flying his own aircraft when the crash occurred. No one else was hurt.

A Danville man was killed when his home-built plane crashed near the Calaveras County Airport on Friday, according to a report in the Contra Costa Times.

The man killed, Dr. Russell Hackler, 68, worked at Grove Way Veterinary Hospital in Castro Valley.

Hackler's family has been notified.
