Monte Vista Freshman Football Lose a Heartbreaker

Granada Quarterback Chandler completed a 40 yard bomb with 22 seconds to play in the game to propel Granada High to a 7-0 victory over the Monte Vista Mustang Freshmen.

A crushing result.

The Mustang Defense played their best game of the year.  Matt Kim and Levi Smyth were all over the field.  Hunter Howe was a madman.  Jake Sherman made quite a few nice plays.  The DBs were all over the Granada WRs all game.  The linebacking corp did a nice job of containing the dual-threat QB Davis,

90% of the game was played between the 30-yard lines.

The Mustang ground game, usually solid with Drew Challinor, Griffin Ruh and Cole Ames leading the way, was having trouble generating any yardage.  The passing game could not get untracked either, as Erik Krommenhoek struggled to find open receivers all evening long.

Monte VIsta Frosh travel to Cal High next week to play the Bears at 5:30 on Thursday, October 17.
