Muffin

Meet Muffin, a 12-year-old Corgi mix adopted from ARF.

After the first Thursday Night Festival in downtown Danville, it was getting dark, cold, and windy. A mom and daughter introduced me to muffin.

Seven years ago, Muffin was rescued by Anette and Jemma through ARF, Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation.

At that time, she was already five years old. She was shy, nervous, and a lot smaller then. When her future owners arrived, what they noticed about her right away is that she was mellow and immediately warmed up to people. She was also the only Corgi mix at ARF.

ARF has potential adopters placed in a room with three potential poochie hopefuls. Then they interact to see which one they connect with.

Annette and Jemma, say they were lucky to find Muffin at ARF.

Although she is 12-years-old now, everyone still thinks Muffin looks like a puppy. She holds her age well, for in human years, she would be 84. Her coloration is brindled with spotted white paws. Since being adopted, she has had a wonderful life and a wonderful loving home. She’s had time to develop her personality as well.

One of her quirks is she only eats when her paws are on carpet and not on hard floors. She’s also a sweet dog with a paradox to her mellow personality: Her passion to tear up stuffed animals. Maybe that’s how she stays so mellow? Luckily, you will only hear her bark if the doorbell rings.
