Our 2013 website is up and running for our 6th annual Danville community event to be held at San Ramon High School the weekend of Saturday July 27th/28th, 2013. Please consider starting a team in Honor or in Memory of a loved one who has been affected by cancer. We have work teams, neighborhood teams, sports teams, family teams...everyone has been affected by cancer.
We also want our Cancer survivors to sign up to be our VIP's at Relay. They receive a special T-shirt and goody bag and participate in our first lap.
The American Cancer Society teams up with Pantene Great Lengths to make wigs for cancer patients. Our ACS office in Walnut Creek provides wigs free of charge to cancer patients in our community. That is why the Danville Relay for Life is asking everyone to start growing their hair out as we will have stylists from Danville's hair salon's out on Saturday July 27th at our event to give you that great summer hair cut you will want when the weather starts warming up. The only requirement is that you have at least 8 inches of hair that has not been colored and it no more than 5% grey. It takes 6 ponytails of hair to make one wig for a cancer patient.
Would you like to honor someone fighting back against cancer or remember someone who is no longer with us because of cancer? For $10 you can purchase a luminaria bag that lights the track at night and will have their name on it.
