Rock and Roll Photographer James Fortune Opening Danville Exhibit Friday

The exhibit showcasing some of the most popular Rock and Roll musicians in history, will open at the Village Theatre and Art Gallery on Friday.

The Village Theatre and Art Gallery will be the rock and roll mecca of the San Ramon Valley this weekend as the new exhibit by photographer James Fortune opens.

Fortune has captured the images of many of the most iconic members of the rock and roll community and brings them to the Village Theatre Art Gallery, 233 Front St. The gallery opening will be a high energy event, with amazing photography, live music and beer tasting.  The evening schedule is as follows:

  • 5 p.m. — Doors open.  There will be appetizers provided by the Tower Grill. Free beer tasting courtesy of Schubros Brewing, as well as beer and wine sales available through the evening.
  • 7 p.m. — Photographer James Fortune will provide a slideshow presentation of his work, giving some of the history and background of the photos he has taken.
  • 8 p.m. — San Jose based rock and rollers, The Shanks take the stage in the Village Theatre.

Thank you for this post. As a parent of two at SRVHS and one at Stone Valley Middle School thisRead More whole thing concerns me greatly. I just have not had the time to look into it. My Junior at SRVHS is in the guinea pig class for the new curriculum. The new curriculum started with AP Biology this year and it has been a disappointment. Parents, including myself, really need to educate ourselves on this. I thought this was a State program not a Fed program. Great...
