Danville Fall Craft Festival This Weekend

Check out times for the children's costume parade and dog costume contest this weekend.

Attracting over 50,000 people a year to Danville, the town's Fall Craft Festival is scheduled for this weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (a previous Patch article appearing last week had the incorrect date).

The festival, which is described as "80% contemporary and traditional crafts and 20% fine art," will last two days and feature a children's costume parade, a wine and beer garden, art booths and glass pumpkin patch.

Here's a look at scheduled events, as posted on the Chambers of Commerce website:

Saturday, Oct. 26

10 a.m. -- Children's Costume Parade led by Penny the Miniature Horse from Horses Healing Hearts AND Sparky the SRV Fire Dog - Hartz & School Street in front of FAZ Restaurant

2:30 p.m. -- Next Step Dance Studio Performance East Prospect & Front Street Click Here to Check Out our GREAT Local Talent!


Sunday, Oct. 27

11:30 a.m. -- Incontro Dog Costume Contest. Details here.

All day -- annual DFCF Classic Car Show and Vintage BMX Bike Show East Prospect with awards at 4 p.m.

Entertainment will be featured throughout the weekend along Hartz Avenue with street corner concerts.

Unlimited parking in all city-owned parking lots and on-street curbside parking spaces will be available. Better still, ride your bike from the Iron Horse Trail & park in the Bike Parking lot.
