Where in Walnut Creek?

These walnut and pear orchards are in a prominent spot in Walnut Creek that now is called ...

This is a still from a city of Walnut Creek video.

Where are these walnut and pear orchards? (And if anyone has a clue of when, that would be groovy, too.)

Michael: You are right. It's the property that became the Ruth Bancroft Garden. I didn't state that well -- I don't know the date of the picture, and I didn't mean to imply that it was video. It's a still photo used within a fun Walnut Creek TV video right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcaPfKcUqC8&feature=plcp -- Lance Howland, editor, Walnut Creek Patch

Technically, it is not a photo.... it is an image (of a photograph). The term "picture" is more universal. How many of you still use the phrase "Dial a telephone number..."? An inquisitive Millenial might ask, "What does it mean to dial?"

Triple, I got a kick out of the trainer on our new office phones the other day telling us how to "dial" this or that. Ain't no dial anymore is there? Can you actually have a dial phone now? Does it cost extra, like the keypad phones cost originally? Next time I see one at the flea market, I'll buy one and check it out.

Sorry, sdevoto, the correct answer is up above in the comment stream from Michael Frederick -- it's the site of Ruth Bancroft Gardens on Bancroft Road. -- LDH
