Explore Visual Structure with Blackburn and Friends

In conjunction with the current exhibition, twenty four by twenty four that runs January 10 through February 22, the Town of Danville will host a special Art Chat on February 5 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Village Theatre Art Gallery.

Join the Blackburn and Friends artists in an exploration of the visual structure of a painting. Tesia Blackburn will moderate the Art Chat and will include featured guest artists Ruth Brophy and Elise Marshall.

The artists will discuss design principals in abstract art which will include an introduction on how the formal elements of art have been arranged and function within a composition. How does color and shape create a sense of space and which role does texture and light play in evoking luminous surfaces?

There is no registration required for this event and free, light refreshments will be served.
