WWII Victory Gardens

The San Ramon Valley has a rich agricultural history. In addition to growing hays, grains, fruits, and nuts, ranchers and farmers had family gardens. During WWII, they were called Victory Gardens. Hear from a history gardening specialist about Victory Gardens and from a master gardener about how to create and grow a kitchen garden. They will demonstrate "canning, then and now" and share historic recipes.
