The VietNam Veterans of the Diablo Valley host their 7th annual Crab Feed fundraising event, featuring Italian pasta and crab dinner with dessert, snacks and appetizers and a no-host bar.
Proceeds from this one event help pay for 12,000 American flags distributed at Danville's annual Fourth of July parade, an East Bay Memorial Day remembrance program annually held at Oakhill Park in Danville, a speaker’s bureau which presents historical information on the VietNam war to now over 30,000 thousand high school & college students annually, is actively involved in Operation Welcome Home events for returning military members currently serving, and many other local community efforts – including the remodeling of the new Veteran’s Memorial Building for the San Ramon Valley.
Current active-duty military personnel, members of the Blue Star Moms - military son & daughter support group and the “Sentinels of Freedom” for severely wounded warrior program will attend Sunday's Crab Feed event. The Raiderettes will sign photographs to be sent to servicemen and units serving overseas during their appearance.

Gift Certificates, weekend trips, wines, dinners, golfing and gift baskets will be raffled off at the event, which also will include a charity silent auction to raise funds to support local community service projects.
