The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia

Danville Library and Project Second Chance in partnership with The International Dyslexia Association of Northern California present a special HBO film screening and panel discussion by educational specialists. "The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia," a film by James Redford,
son of Robert Redford, recounts the experiences of children and young adults with dyslexia, including Redford's son, Dylan, and features interviews with highly successful individuals with dyslexia, such as Sir Richard Branson, Gavin Newsom, Charles Schwab, and David Boies. Throughout the film, Drs. Bennett and Sally Shaywitz of the Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity share their expertise on this learning disability, which affects up to one in five people.
