Mt. Diablo Recycling Winter Camp

The free Winter Camp sessions will take place from 10 a.m.
to 12 noon on
Tuesday, November 26 and Wednesday, November 27 at Mt. Diablo
Recycling,
located at 1300 Loveridge Road in Pittsburg, Calif. Each session
for all ages will include interactive education about the 5
R’s--Reduce,
Reuse, Recycle,  Respect the
Earth and Recover—as well as compelling
information about the increased impact
we all have on the environment each
holiday season. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the
90,000-square-foot
Mt. Diablo Recycling facility including the “Big Blue”
recycling machine and “Big
Wall-e” the baler. The Winter Camp further includes
a holiday reuse arts and crafts project
that will be made on-site to take
home. Project choices include a holiday
ornament made out of reusable items, a
bottle cap and tin can snowman, or
recycled paper holiday cards. To sign up
for one of the free camp sessions, contact Mt. Diablo Recycling’s Adriana Medina
by phone (925-771-2721) or email (Adriana@Garaventaent.com).
