An Innovative Tutoring Center is Heading Your Way!




Is your child struggling with
school and career preparation?  Are you
looking for a viable solution? 
Pleasanton’s newest tutoring center is here to help you!  Transition
Learning Center
(TLC) has arrived in the Hacienda Business Park and is
ready to prepare your adolescent with the needed skills.



 



TLC is designed to help
adolescents (age 12-18) achieve their own independent academic skills and
aptitudes for preparation into adult living. 
This remarkable learning center provides various programs of tutoring
services in academic and vocational learning, as required by the California
Department of Education, to help prepare students to attain the career and
academic skills needed to survive the rigorous demands placed upon them.

Melanie Bailey-Bird, Founder and
Educational Director, holds a Communication Disorders B.S. degree with minor in
Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and a Master’s
degree in Special Education from Chapman University, CA.  She has expertise in working with adolescents
and young adult students with Autism, ADHD, SLD, SLI and Emotional
Disturbance.  Melanie has 20 years of
educational training and experience in the field of education, working in
numerous capacities, including as a specialist in special education.  Melanie’s vision is to provide a service to
families and help adolescents, as they enter adulthood, become thriving adult
members that will be able to serve their community.
