Alamo Tree Lighting and Choral Music Event

The Community Foundation of Alamo presents the Alamo Tree Lighting Festival

The Community Foundation of Alamo will present the 2015 Alamo Tree Lighting Festival at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 22 in the Alamo Oak Tree Plaza next to Andrew H. Young Park at the corner of Danville Boulevard and Jackson Way. The festival signals the beginning of the Christmas holiday season for families with an evening of caroling, entertainment, snacks. “Guests are urged to come early and stay late,” said the organizers.

Opening the program and singing throughout the evening will be awesome choirs from local schools, Tri-Valley Repertory, bands and more! They will be performing some beautiful holiday songs sure to get us all in the spirit!

Santa, of course, will be ready to hear the desires of the little ones. Santa will arrive early and be ready at 4:45 for pictures so all kids will have a chance to share their Christmas wishes. Share-A-Vusion professional photographers will also be on hand to take photos of children and adults and these make terrific keepsakes and holiday cards to share with friends and family.

This year, we also have fabulous pets looking for homes for the holidays from both ARF and the Bay Area German Shepherd Rescue organizations. These groups provide amazing love and care to so many animals in need. Come give some hugs and loves to these beautiful animals!

We will also have barrels for the Contra Costa Food Bank so please bring non perishable items to share with those less fortunate. Barrels will also be available in front of Richard’s through Jan 1.
