Bay City News Service--This winter's string of Spare the Air Days will continue today, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District announced Sunday.
Monday will be the 12th Spare the Air Day declared this winter, and the second of the new year. It is illegal for Bay Area residents to burn wood or other solid fuels either indoors or out on Spare the Air days.
The ban affects Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties and central and southern Sonoma and southwestern Solano counties.
