UPDATE: Power Restored from Morning Outage that Affected 158
An underground cable malfunction resulted in 158 PG&E customers to lose power in the Sycamore Valley Road and Greenbrook Drive area.
The 158 PG&E customers who lost power at about 9:30 a.m. in Danville have been fully restored as of 12:45 p.m. today, PG&E spokesperson Tamar Sarkissian said.
The cause, she said, was a malfunction in an underground cable near Sycamore Valley Road and Greenbrook Drive. The cable is still be repaired by PG&E.
"While the customers have been restored we're still working on repairs," she said. "We apologize for the inconvenience and recognize this is an inconvenience with our customers. We worked quickly and as safely as possible to get everyone restored."

Danville Patch reader Joe King said the traffic signal at Greenbrok and Sycamore was out during the outage and had resulted in a fender bender.
"I saw three police cars and at least one SUV with a missing front bumper with debris all over the intersection," King posted on Danville Patch's Facebook page. "Cars traveling on sycamore were running through the intersection as of they had a green light instead of treating it like a four-way stop. Very dangerous, I almost got hit turning left. Tell people to be careful and stop at dark intersections!"
