Pet Costume Contest: The Winners Are...

The readers have cast their votes in the Bishop Ranch-Patch Spooktacular Pet Halloween Costume Contest.

Congratulations to one tough looking convict: The kitty dressed in prison garb is the grand prize winner of the Patch/Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center and Urgent Care pet Halloween contest.

The hairless cat submitted by Jessica was picked by Patch readers to win a $25 gift certificate for the veterinary center's store, located adjacent to the clinic at 2000 Bishop Ranch Drive in San Ramon.

The runners-up, chosen by the clinic's staff are:

Best Overall Dog: Phoenix and Aladdin, submitted by Bonnie and Beth Abelew, wearing super spooky handmade costumes portraying headless ghosts of the 1700s.

Best Overall Cat: Princess Jingjing submitted by Flowercat of San Ramon.

Runners-up will receive a Patch tote bag filled with some nifty goodies.

There were many awesome costumes among all the 39 entries and finalists. (See the original story for all the entries.) Thank you to all who participated.

If you're a winner, please email Erin Selby, erin@webvets.com, to schedule a time to pick up your prize.

My Junior at SRVHS is in the guinea pig class for the new curriculum. The new curriculum started with AP Biology this year and it has been a disappointment. Parents, including myself, really need to educate ourselves on this. I thought this was a State program not a Fed program. Great...
