Last Week in Danville and Alamo: Murder Trial Date Set, Condo Burglary and St. Isidore Cases Continue

A look back at news in Danville and Alamo from May 15 to 21.

A judge ordered proceedings to move forward for Andrew Mantas, 21, to establish a conservatorship for the mentally ill man. Mantas is accused of killing his mother in Danville in 2006. A judge said Monday that Mantas is not fit to stand trial and will stay at Napa State Hospital. A hearing on his care will be held June 13. .

A judge at criminal court in Martinez made a motion to consolidate the three St. Isidore embezzlement cases. One of the people charged, Virgilio Lukban, 46, of Danville appeared in court Wednesday when Judge Nancy Davis Stark made the motion to consolidate his case with two related ones.

A trial date was set for the 2009 killing of Danville teen Rylan Fuchs. Walter Bell, 20, is charged with shooting Fuchs to death in 2009. Bell's trial is set to begin Dec. 5. .

We told you about a new exhibit at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley that honors women in history. Through July 16, the museum celebrates the 100-year anniversary of women gaining the right to vote in California, with a display of period garb, artifacts and historical information about local women. .

Danville Police made an arrest in a robbery at a condo on San Ramon Valley Boulevard. Police arrested Jarrad Kalajian, Wednesday, in connection with the robbery after they found him with a PlayStation 3 and a notebook computer. .

A San Ramon police officer, whose case is linked to a wider law enforcement scandal including a Danville police officer, delayed entering a plea. Officer Louis Lombardi, who is free on bail, appeared in court Thursday along with former drug force commander Norman Wielsch. .
