Deputies searched for a suspect who robbed a gas station in Alamo last Sunday. Police said the man could have fled on the Iron Horse Trail after the morning robbery. Read more about the story here.

In a 3-3 vote, the Alamo MAC was split over a proposal to light the lower tennis courts at Round Hill Country Club. It will now relay its suggestions to Contra Costa County for review. .

The head of the Contra Costa County Narcotic Task Force and a Concord private investigator were jailed on drug charges. The investigation began in January after the state Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement received a report of allegations of misconduct by the drug task force chief. The task force was investigating a when pot grow equipment was found in the wreckage. .

The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce recognized new leadership and citizens making a difference at its annual Installation and Awards Ceremony Thursday night. The event at the Diablo Country Club drew more than 125 people. Read more about the event and the honorees.

Sentencing for Michael Vawter, a former Danville Cub Scout leader who pleaded guilty to a federal charge of possession of child pornography in March, will be sentenced this week. Vawter could face more than a decade in federal prison plus a lifetime of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney General's office. .
