Contra Costa County supervisors discussed plans Tuesday to redraw their districts based on the 2010 census data. Among the possible changes were a new supervisor for the San Ramon Valley, one or two supervisors instead of three covering Walnut Creek and a district that could stretch from Hercules to Antioch. Fund-raising flamingos were stolen from Danville and San Ramon lawns. A San Ramon police officer was arrested, widening a Contra Costa County law enforcement scandal. An investigator said patrol officer Louis Lombardi took part in a CNET scandal involving drugs and weapons. .

Danville police made an arrest Thursday in connection with a home burglary on Everett Place that temporarily locked down three schools. Police received a report from neighbors of a suspicious couple running in the neighborhood with a rifle case and duffel bag, leading to a search of the neighborhood. Read the rest of the story.
