Danville Hotel Redevelopment Project Plans up for Review

Plans to demolish the dilapidated Wild West-style buildings and construct a 34,585 square foot space for retail, restaurants and residential units will be presented this week.

Plans to replace Danville’s Wild West era-themed structures downtown will be presented to the town's Design Review Board and the Historic Design Review Board on Thursday at the Danville Town Offices.

The design presentation will site final details on the proposed two-story structure for the Danville Hotel property, located at 411 Hartz Avenue.

The plans, posted on the town’s website, calls for the demolition of over 14,000 square feet of existing structure to be replaced with 34,585 square feet of residential, retail and restaurant space. Nearly 17,000 square feet will be residential, with 16 units planned.

According to the plans, both the McCauley House and Danville Hotel would be preserved and restored.

The meeting begins at 5:30 Thursday in the conference room at Town Hall.
