Today is a day for superstition... and hockey masks.

If you've looked at a calendar or your phone or your computer today, you know it's Friday the 13th.

It's a day where superstition takes on a whole new meaning. You've got your black cats, your walking under the ladders, your breaking of the mirrors to be cognizant of today.

This report from USA Today adds an extra layer of worry on you superstitious folks. Apparently this year we will have three Friday the 13ths, not just the normal two. And the Friday the 13ths are an eerily 13 weeks apart. Yikes!

Might want to ask your insurance agent about Friday the 13th coverage right about now.

But, for me, as a child of the '80s, Friday the 13th is more about a certain bloodthirsty monster that hangs out at Crystal Lake and goes by the name Jason Voorhees, than a 9-pound, black, domesticated feline. The logic behind the movie might not exactly work but as a kid, that was pretty scary.
