Strong Winds Ahead: Be Prepared

With high-wind warnings throughout the region on Wednesday and Thursday, keep these numbers handy.

The National Weather Service is forecasting high-wind warnings throughout the region on Wednesday and Thursday, with the strongest gusts expected in the hills above 1,000 feet.

The warning, which includes expected gusts up to 70 miles per hour, is in effect from 6 a.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.

Considering the potential for local damage, it's a good time to have emergency contacts available.
