Zpizza of San Ramon is expanding and opening a second restaurant in downtown Danville

A popular San Ramon pizza restaurant has opened a second restaurant in Danville.

Zpizza has expanded to a new place at 95 Railroad Ave. in downtown Danville. The restaurant officially opened last weekend.

Owner Tom Hanley said he's wanted to be part of the Danville-Alamo business community for years.

Zpizza offers 22 gourmet pizzas as well as salads and hand-crafted sandwiches. Diners can also create their own pizzas.

Zpizza was founded in 1986 in an art colony in the Southern California town of Laguna Beach.
