Sprouts & Shutters: The Crown

The owners of Esin Restaurant and Bar will take over the space, formerly known as The Crown.

For those who haven't heard, The Crown British Pub & Restaurant closed its doors on Aug. 25, after being sold.

Esin Restaurant and Bar has purchased the spot with plans to open a bistro, according to Jill Bergman, the economic development coordinator of the town.

A message appeared on the pub's Facebook:

You may have heard that The Crown has been sold. This is a long planned end to a wonderful, almost thirteen year, adventure. We hope you'll welcome and enjoy the restaurant that takes our place. It's not a pub so get your fish and chips this week. Thank you for your patronage and friendship. Hope to see you at our sister pub Redcoats in Pleasanton.

In March, 'That Bar' across the street from The Crown changed its name to MaGah's Pub and Piano Bar with an Irish theme.
