Sprouts & Shutters: Suburban Peacock Open in Alamo

Suburban Peacock officially opened its doors on April 3 in downtown Alamo.

The new shop is located across the street from Alamo Plaza at 3150 Danville Blvd.

“We are so excited that we are open now,” exclaimed Linda Hill, co-owner of the new shop. “We can't wait to share our passion and products with the community.”

Shop owners say the customers will discover an attractive interior reminiscent of a light & airy barn with a showroom featuring an eclectic variety of up-cycled and vintage goods. The shop is designed to be a design & decor center for all types of interior decorating services with a fun boutique. Besides great furniture, decor, and gifts, you'll find connections to great home painters, upholsterers, designers, and even personal search services.

Suburban Peacock features lots of one-of-a-kind items from furniture to jewelry to outdoor accessories all at an affordable price. The philosophy of Suburban Peacock is to provide a good value and a fun shopping experience.

"If we find a great deal on something, we pass that along to the customer,"  shared Linda. The shop also features local artists who have an eco-twist like Stephanie Bugbee who uses recycled tempered glass and other found items in salvaged windows, Sam Price who creates custom pet collage art out of magazine clippings, and Alejandro Bassi who creates his art on tin cans.

The shop is open Thursdays 11 a.m - 7 p.m., Friday - Sunday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., by appointment and whenever you see the wheelbarrow outside.
