So Long, Sideboard

The popular downtown coffee shop will reopen in early 2014.

Sideboard Coffee Bar has packed up their french presses and steam wands to make way for the Danville Hotel Territory Project.

The town's popular coffee shop was closed on Jan. 6.

Sideboard is moving a few blocks away to another historic spot at 90 Railroad Avenue with plans to open in March, according to the town's development coordinator.

The new location will be at the 'James Root House' which was built sometime in the late 1800s by a direct descendant of Daniel Boone. Read more about the James Root House here.

The historic Danville Hotel structure that was the former home for Sideboard and the McCauley House on Hartz Avenue will both be retained according to the town's website, but there's no word on the tenants.
