New Livermore Outlets to Hire for More Than 120 Stores

The Paragon Outlets in Livermore Valley are set to open Nov. 8. Job fairs will be held in on Sept. 11 and Oct. 23.

A new set of 120 outlet stores boasting big names such as Bloomingdale's, Last Call by Neiman Marcus and Polo Ralph Lauren is coming to the East Bay.

Paragon Oulets is scheduled to open Nov. 8, just off of the El Charro Road exit in Livermore.

With the new stores comes mass hiring.

Job fairs will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 from 10 a.m – 2 p.m at the , located at 4444 East Avenue in Livermore. No registration required and 50 empoyers are expected to participate.

Hiring fairs for the new will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 from 10 a.m – 2 p.m at the , 4444 East Avenue in Livermore.  No registration required. Fifty employers out of the 120 are expected to participate in the job fairs which are a collaboration between the City of Livermore, the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board (ACWIB), the , the , and Paragon Outlets Livermore Valley LLC.

Before the job fairs, workshops on resume critiquing, interview techniques, customer service, and employment applications are scheduled on Tuesday, Aug. 28 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Robert Livermore Community Center. The workshops, offered at no cost to participants, are sponsored by the City of Livermore and the ACWIB. Workshops start at 10:15 am. To register for specific workshops, please send an email with your choices to Marybeth.McCarthy@acgov.org.

My Junior at SRVHS is in the guinea pig class for the new curriculum. The new curriculum started with AP Biology this year and it has been a disappointment. Parents, including myself, really need to educate ourselves on this. I thought this was a State program not a Fed program. Great...
