Firehouse Bar & Grill has taken over Danville's former Rising Loafer restaurant location.
The eatery, which currently is open for breakfast and lunch, opened in May 1 and is undergoing renovations in order to be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, according to partner Doug Himan.
While Yelp reviews have been mixed, most locals who've reviewed the restaurant on Yelp have boasted about Firehouse Bar & Grill's breakfast.
"Fantastic breakfast! The food was so good, I couldn't stop eating! The service was enthusiastic and cheerful. We've been looking for a great breakfast place ever since the Alamo Courtyard closed a few years ago. I think we've finally found it! Thank you for a wonderful Father's Day breakfast. We will be back," wrote Aurora J. of Danville.
Lance H. of Danville wrote, "The new owners have breathed new life into this restaurant - can't wait to see it after the remodel!"
