Finding a Walkable Place to Live

In my analysis of Danville and Alamo real estate (see my Fridays column, ), I have observed that westside Danville homes have held value better than many other parts of town.

People love to live on the west side, where they can “walk to everything,” and that’s true in many other towns.

In fact, according to www.walkscore.com, one point in a walk score is worth up to $3,000. Here are some homes for sale that have excellent walk scores based on their proximity to amenities. 

Alamo

1524 Las Trampas Road is offered by Barbara Corsi of J. Rockcliff. This house is tucked away in a wooded setting, so you feel like you’re in the country, yet you’re just steps away from downtown Alamo and adjacent to the Iron Horse Trail.
