I just voted "something else" Slow G's 2 doors from the Fresh and Easy makes awesome healthy sandwiches and Quinoa (Keen-Wah) salads. They are to die for and reasonably priced: $6.99 for a huge sandwich that won't clog your arteries with processed meats. you should add them to your sandwich choices.

Thanks for the suggestion, Anne!

A Sweet Affair in Danville! Sandwiches made on house-made bread and if you call in your order, it comes with a free house-made cookie of your choice!

What's a "sando?" Is this some new form of Orwellian Newspeak?
Terry Parris Jr. February 27, 2012 at 07:00 PM
Zing!

I second that! Awesome that they are in Danville now, they closed their Alamo store years ago.
Chris Dittmore February 27, 2012 at 11:37 PM
You forgot to list Sweet Affair. Best sandwhich in Danville!
Terry Parris Jr. February 27, 2012 at 11:49 PM
Adding now! Thanks Chris, Debbie and Dan. If you could, go back and vote for it!

Terry Parris Jr. February 29, 2012 at 10:31 PM
Laura: It doesn't have to be in downtown Danville. I'll add Draeger's!

Christina Carroll: The San Ramon Patch is running the same best of poll for San Ramon sandwich joints. You can vote for Fat Maddie's on its poll: http://sanramon.patch.com/articles/best-of-san-ramon-patch-where-is-your-go-to-place-for-a-sandwich For Danville (and Alamo and Blackhawk), do you have a choice?

I already did a review for Maggierays, best barbecue in the area, but I also want to recommend a new spot in Danville, in the Livery....name is Danville Grill. Very good food at modest prices.
Terry Parris Jr. March 02, 2012 at 12:06 AM
Thanks John! How 'bout Danville Grille's sandwiches? I haven't been over there yet. Do they have them/Have you had them?
John Douglas March 02, 2012 at 12:15 AM
Yes Terry, my wife and I have both had sandwiches there...very good at a good price. Gotta add....the Saturday and Sunday breakfasts are worth a visit too. (No, I'm not their PR guy....lol)
Terry Parris Jr. March 02, 2012 at 12:21 AM
Ha! That was my next question. Thanks for the info, John. I've added it so you can now vote for it!
