Also, the event isn't just to announce the awards; it's a benefit for the Veterans Memorial Building.

- Marcia Harmon, Owner, - Business Person of the Year
- Janet Willford, Leadership and Speech/Debate Teacher - Educator of the Year
- - Charitable Organization of the Year
"Each of these award recipients represents the best of the best in Danville. They are truly what makes our community so wonderful," Shelby McNamara, president of the chamber, said in a released statement this afternoon.
The awards will be presented tonight at the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce's "Salads and Salutations" Community Awards and Installation event at the Danville Community Center, 420 Front Street, Danville.
