'Camera Cabal' Photo Exhibit on Display at Lindsay Dirkx Brown Art Gallery

Works will be on display beginning Feb. 3.

A local photography collective with members hailing from Danville will exhibit at the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Art Gallery in February.

The Camera Cabal is a group of San Francisco Bay Area fine art photographers who work together to grow and exhibit their stunning and evocative images of landscapes, abstracts, portraits and street life.

Retired attorney Susan Helms and fine art photographer Richard Valenti of Danville are part of the collective.

Helms' photography has been selected for the 2014 Juried Exhibition of the Center For Photographic Arts in Carmel, while Valenti's work won first prize in the Tri Valley Photo Contest hosted by the Danville Express.

The exhibit will run Feb. 3 through Feb. 27 at the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Art Gallery at the San Ramon Community Center at 12501 Alcosta Blvd.

Gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with an 'Artist Reception' Feb. 15 from 2 - 4 p.m.
