On loan from the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois, the exhibit chronicles Lincoln's personal life, career as a lawyer, key events from his presidency and assassination in 1865.

Learning stations in the exhibit teach visitors about Lincoln through reproduction artifacts, including his stovepipe hat and the bloody gloves found after his assassination. An original photograph of Lincoln and his son, on loan from a Danville resident, is unique to the Danville exhibit.
