Americans and their Krazy Kollections

The Museum of the San Ramon Valley presents Marjorie Schwarzer speaking about: Americans and Their Krazy Kollections

We Americans love our stuff. Sometimes amazing “stuff” has become a collection. In conjunction with the current Museum of San Ramon Valley exhibit Wild, Weird and Wonderful, Marjorie Schwarzer, museum historian and author of the prize winning book, Riches, Rivals and Radicals, will discuss some common collections found in many American homes. Additionally, she will focus on some of the weirdest things found in surprising places.

Come and learn about the nutty lady who could not stop collecting nutshells. Hear about the man who has built an empire on hammer heads. Listen to facts about the famous museum that began when a person could not stop shopping. What is the most popular collectible in America? Do you happen to own a few collections?
